Recreate Your Favorite Bridgerton Looks

Shonda Rhimes’ latest show Bridgerton has taken Netflix, and the world it seems, by storm. Literally everyone is raving about the period piece that centers around Daphne Bridgerton and love interest “the Duke” aka Simon Bassett. The show features an inclusive cast, hot steamy love scenes and of course an unforgettable costume design selection. How could we forget the day dresses, romantic gowns and Daphne’s wedding dress? We couldn’t, that’s why we decide to round up our favorite looks and how to recreate them for the modern day and in your own way.

Daphne Bridgerton’s Baby Blues

It was hard not to notice Daphne’s affinity for those blue baby doll sleeve gowns. We have to agree, blue is definitely her color. From her robe, to her day dress or her dinner party look, blue is a recurring theme for our Regency-era heroine. For a modern day take on this debutante look we love this satin, fitted cocktail dress from Alice & Olivia. Taking a cue from Daphne herself, we love this shade of blue called Waterfall. Taking a cue from Daphne’s dinner party look, this Free People Sunbaked Swing Dress has that vintage feel with a light blue floral pattern that reminds us of the light, feminine essence that Daphne carries with her throughout the series. If you’re in search of a more subtle nod to our leading lady, we love this Berlin Satin Skirt from Rails. It’s baby blue color and sheen is a slight, but sophisticated ode to all of the refined blue gown choices Ms. Bridgerton but with a more casual vibe that we absolutely adore.

That Wedding Look

On a similar Daphne note we have to have an honorable mention of Daphne’s wedding gown as well as her romantic ball gown moment. Both of these white looks were seared into our literal brains after watching Bridgerton the first time...Yes we have watched it more than once, get over it! Daphne is the master of all things romantic, that includes her dresses. We love the pure white crystal embroidered detailing and wanted to incorporate that into our own real life wardrobe. This dress from Lulu’s is a beaded rhinestone maxi dress. The embroidered crystal top is giving us major Daphne Bridgerton bride vibes but sadly minus the Duke. However, if you’re looking for a dress that will certainly attract your very own Simon Bassett, try the Embellished Satin Slip MIni Dress from Giuseppe di Morabito. It’s giving Givenchy SS’ 21 energy but for half the price. The subtle crystal pattern is if anything an appreciation for Daphne’s more lavish looks.

All the Florals

Whereas we love Daphne for her refined taste, what about the more flashy, more campy looks. We’re referring to all the looks from the Featherington sisters and even a few from Marina Thompson, a cousin of the Featherington’s with a saucy secret. These characters bask in bright colors and busy floral patterns, but honestly...we’re kinda here for it. This crystal blue and pink blooming number from Needle & Thread is a cap sleeve, embroidered mini dress with delicate flower appliques. We would probably see this number on Eloise or Hyacinth Bridgerton as they stroll through town doing anything but minding their own business. Take a cue from a Featherington sister or Marina Thompson and get this Balloon Sleeve Midi Dress from ASTR The Label. It’s perfect for the warmer months and with it’s casual floral print and pastel coloring, there are many ways to wear it. If a larger botanical print is your vibe, then this flowery open back sundress from Bardot would be well suited. Rich golden browns and orange adorn this dress from head-to-toe and is more than satisfying to our Bridgerton-obsessed taste as of late.

There you have it, some of our favorite looks and recreations from the instant classic, hit Netflix series, Bridgerton. Seriously, if you haven’t watched the show, this article is proof you need to. Well, that and for Rege-Jean Page of course. Happy binging ;).
