Dry Shampoo: The Wash Alternative
It seems like the demand for on-the-go beauty products are more in demand now more than ever. Especially if you’re anything like us and you’re a woman who has little time to play games when it comes to beauty, style and hair. If this sounds anything like you, then listen up.
When it comes to hair we often find it’s the one part of our regimen that needs the most time and attention but somehow we just don’t have the time to spend tending to it. So, for those in-between washes or those in-between hair salon visits we have to be smart with our time and implement reinforcements. Dry shampoo has entered the chat room.
What is dry shampoo?
Dry shampoo is usually made of ingredients like clay, talc or cornstarch. These are the ingredients that are most effective at soaking up any excess oils that can be found on the scalp after a few days of not washing your hair.
Dry shampoo is a great alternative to washing your hair when you are short on time and need a quick refresher to absorb oil from your scalp. You should only use dry shampoo on dry hair and not when your hair is wet from the shower, rain etc. Dry shampoo is great for travel, to keep in your purse for on-the-go use and to keep handy in your bathroom cabinet.
When to Use Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo can be used at any time but it’s best used the night before so that the powder can really soak up that excess oil and leave your hair refreshed and ready to style in the morning. Of course, anything in excess isn’t a good thing, so try not to rely on dry shampoo to replace your hair wash days but more as a means to hold you over on those days where you’re short on time.
We want to break down some of our favorite go-to dry shampoos and why we think you need them in your hair wash routine ASAP.
This dry shampoo is great because there is a bottle for light tones and dark toned hair as well. So, for those of you who are blonde, brunette and even red-headed
This choice of dry shampoo is very special because of the wide variety of choices this brand offers. There’s an option for all colors and tones of hair, for volume, for fine hair, curly hair and the list goes on and on. The fragrance is light and the oil absorption is top-tier. Plus, we love that this brand is vegan and they don’t test on animals.
