Add Color To Your Wardrobe With These Items

Usually summer is the season of color, but we think that it’s actually the winter season that needs a pop of color. We’re tired of reverting to the grays, blacks and neutrals as soon as the winter solstice hits so we rounded up some of our go-to pieces to add some color into our wardrobe this winter.

Colorful Hand Candy

A great way to add an easy, quick pop of color to your look is by adding a colorful bag. This Orange Epi Alma BB Bag from Louis Vuitton is a luxurious but shocking orange handbag that would be an excellent accessory to add to your winter wardrobe for some refreshing color. It comes with a chic leather tag, silver hardware and an optional crossbody strap for an easy look.

Perhaps a shocking orange moment is a bit too summer-y or just too bold for some of your tastes then you might consider opting for a bag that has an eye-catching pattern or texture. We think this ZAZA Grande Anima Iris bag is a great alternative. It definitely falls under the category of a smaller handbag but we love its sculptural shape and sophisticated gray tone snakeskin print. Want to combine the color of the Alma BB with this ZAZA handbag? You’re in luck because it’s offered in several other shades and patterns.

Fancy Footwear

Another fantastic way to add some color to your winter looks is by choosing a colorful shoe. If you’re leaning towards the neutrals or the darker tones this season but want a pop of something extra then a shoe is a great way to go. This Aquazzura So Matignon Boot is a gorgeous stiletto boot that comes in a rich red-to-orange ombre gradient color palette. It’s colorful, but subtle enough to match with most any outfit and the colors are just in line with the fall/winter colors.

Is the stiletto boot not as casual as you’re looking for? Try this loafer from Aquazzura. The Martin Mocassin is a warm, yellow curry color in a snakeskin pattern. It has a flat sole with a rounded toe and we think this yellow is just the sunny disposition we need during the cold, drab winter. Pair these with some cropped pants or denim and your winter overcoat to elevate your cold weather uniform.

Sweater Weather

Since it’s the season of the sweater, why not add some color by adding a chic, rich pullover or cardigan into your rotation? This Missoni Sweater is a rich green, pullover polo style sweater with a v-neck neckline and collar. It’s not quite a Christmas green, but it certainly has us in the holiday spirit and excited to style it with one of our chic handbags we mentioned above. We’re layering this over a white t-shirt and pairing it with a maxi skirt and oversized wool coat for an easy-going holiday vibe.

What says winter more than a cashmere sweater? This Lagune Sweater from Altuzarra is a chunky cable knit, relaxed fit cashmere pullover sweater with bright and dark blue artistic detailing. This sweater is a fresh perspective on the traditional pullover sweater and it’s ideal for layering or simply styling on it’s own over a pair of jeans or even some leggings for a quick on-the-go outfit.
