Nail Art
In the world of fashion a little can say a lot about a woman. Hair color, eyeshadow and even your shoes can tell a lot about a person. So what does your manicure say about you? Maybe you’ve never thought about it or maybe you’re in the right place at the right time to find out. Don’t fret dear, Style Sonata always has you covered! See what we have to say about the chicest nail styles and shapes we’ve seen this season. Who knows, maybe you’ll find something you like.
Almond Nails
We’ve seen a lot of almond shaped nail styles this last summer and fall and we have to say that at first, we weren’t such a fan. We were used to either square or round and nothing in between. We came to discover that almond is actually the best of both worlds and an incredibly chic nail shape option. This style of nails looks great if you have a longer style of nail simply because shaping short nails into an almond shape doesn’t exactly work too well. However, if you have shorter nails and desire this shape, nail extension tips can fix that ASAP. We love an almond design nail with a natural color such as this Marzipan shade from J. Hannah. You can even have fun with these Static Nails Almond Pop-on Reusable Manicure Set for a non-damaging manicure you can use again and again.
Square Nails
Square nails are like the standard when it comes to nail shaping. It’s probably the most common nail shape there is but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with it. This shape of nails is edgy and straightforward and if you lean towards this shape, you’re probably a woman who doesn’t play games and is down to business. This shape works well if you have thin fingers and slim shaped nail beds and is awesome for any kind of nail art. We like this nail shape for when our nails are short and we’re indulging in a gel manicure which preserves your manicures for about two, maybe even three weeks. Our favorite gel coat polish is the Chanel Le Gel Coat Longwear Top Coat which we apply over our Chanel Longwear Nail Color choice.
Round or “Squoval” Nails
We like to simply call this style “round” but it’s actually a softer, more rounded square shape, hence the “squoval” title, but let’s just say round for the sake of this article. It’s a great shape for nails that aren’t necessarily short, but aren’t super long as well. It’s very feminine and delicate but it’s a shape that is universally flattering and looks good on any and every hand. Since it’s so fashionable for everyone we like to have fun with color and even nail gems when we get this shape. This BP Assorted 3-Pack Glitter Nail Polish Set is a great set with three bronze-y shades of nail lacquer that are perfect for the holiday season as a gift for yourself (why not?) or for a special someone. For an instant rounded nail manicure you can also try this Static Nails Round Pop-On Manicure Set and apply the polish of your choice.
