To Knit Or Not To Knit?

Here at Style Sonata, we love a good trend and with winter fast approaching we couldn’t help but pick up on one that we seem to see everywhere. It’s a trend that favors both style and comfort and based on what we’ve all experienced this last year we don’t want to sacrifice one for the other - and we won’t! That’s why the new knitwear trend is so perfect and even more so, just in time for that chilly, autumn weather that is bound to show itself any day now. It may seem like knitwear is too “home-y” or even bulky to be considered high fashion or even trendy, but we beg to differ. With luxe knitwear pieces such as co-ords, maxi skirts and even knit crop tops, we are loving the range and variety that knitwear is serving this upcoming season. We thought we would share with you some of our favorite knit pieces we have on our wish lists so far.

Seems pretty obvious to start with what we all think of when we think of “knitwear,” which would be sweaters. And we’ve found some pretty fabulous ones ourselves that defy the traditional knit framework.

You'll love the laid-back look and slouchy fit of this loose-fitting sweater. This versatile style is crafted from cotton and acrylic for a lightweight, perfect for layering answer to every fashion lover's winter wardrobe.

Bold and cozy, the Florence Longline Hooded Alpaca Blend Cardigan is knit from a warm blend of alpaca and wool yarns. Crafted in a long, dropped sleeve silhouette, this cardigan has an open front, fixed hood and and wide ribbed trim

This pair are sure to be your staple comfort pants this winter. The wide leg fit is super comfortable and the ribbed wool material makes for easy pull on pants for those days where you can’t imagine wearing anything else. Pair these with that Devon Stripe Crop Sweater we mentioned before and you have the perfect knit outfit of your dreams.

If you’re looking for something more sporty or perhaps more edgy, then look no further, this pair of joggers which combine the best of both worlds: tailoring and leisure are the perfect blend of trousers and sweatpants which makes them a great pair of bottoms for versatility. And of course the wool blend is sure to keep you warm.

Now what kind of list would this be if we didn’t include a knit minidress? Oh, you didn’t know about such a thing? Well you do now. This Charlie Wah Colorblock Wool Blend Sweater Dress. might be our favorite piece yet. Fashion meets function in this sweater dress, as it's crafted from a wool blend that's soft on the skin. Style it with ankle boots to complete your look.
