Our Favorite Leather Pieces This Winter

For each season, there is an unofficial uniform. Spring and summer beckon florals, pastels and dresses. Fall and winter require coats, pants and boots. This winter our official unofficial uniform is all things leather. Wearing leather all-year round is always a good idea, but something about leather in the winter just works for us and we think it works for you too. When we think of wearing leather in the fall and winter months, your mind is probably only thinking of leather jackets, but it doesn’t stop there. Leather boots, gloves and pants are also on our radar this season.

Another great thing about leather is that it goes with literally anything, so styling these pieces we’ve curated below, shouldn’t be a hassle to incorporate with other items in your closet. You can styled denim tucked into leather knee-high boots or layer your favorite cardigan under your leather bomber for extra warmth this winter and add a pair of leather gloves to any look for some added edge. We’ve got a few of our favorite leather pieces (that aren’t jackets and coats) and how to style them this winter below and we think you’re going to want to bookmark this page for your next shopping spree.

Hudson Barbara High Rise

When it comes to leather pants we want a simple silhouette that can be easily paired and styled with other options in our pre-existing wardrobe. These Hudson Barbara High Rise Straight Ankle Pants are just what we had in mind. They are 100% vegan leather, (we love), and feature a split hem which looks great when layered over a pair of pointed toe boots.

Madewell Perfect Vintage Straight Jeans

This pair of leather pants is a loose, straight fit and mid-rise style. They are a bit more casual and probably more versatile to style than our Hudson Barbara High Rise option. Paired with some comfy, slouchy white socks and your favorite pair of sneakers and you’ve easily achieved the epitome of off-duty model style this winter.

Taking comfort and chic to the next level with these leggings from Spanx. Forget your workout leggings and up your legging game with a leather legging. These high-waisted leggings accentuate all of your curves in the best way and are great tucked into a chunky combat boot or for a fancier style, pair them with your favorite thigh-high suede stiletto boots.

These lambskin leather and alpaca lined gloves are just what we had in mind for leather gloves this winter. It’s all about adding a little bit of drama this season and adding a pair of gloves like these is just what we had in mind. You can pair leather gloves with literally any winter outfit you style and it will add that extra touch of class and edge to your look. Plus you’re keeping your hands warm and protected. We love these gloves because they are also touchscreen sensitive, so you don't have to constantly remove your gloves when you want to take a selfie or send a text.

Schutz Maryana Leather Dress Boot

You thought because we’re talking all things leather, that every item is going to either be black or brown, huh? Well, think again. We decided to choose these boots from Shutz as our leather boot pick for this round up. These boots are in the color Natural but there are six other color and pattern options if you want to stick to the all-black leather look, but these snakeskin boots pair nicely on their own but also with every other option previously mentioned on our list of all things leather.

For a more casual and collected boot option, you can never go wrong with a classic riding-esque equestrian boot. These boots from Tommy Hilfiger feature a monogrammed “H” on the outer cuff of the boot and a low heel measuring at about 1”. We think this is a more sophisticated option compared to a bulky rain boot and we’re styling this with a leather jacket and a pair of skinny jeans and of course, our leather gloves.
