Season’s Best Jewelry
You many have recalled us mentioning that on our March mood board we were really enthusiastic about maximalism. Now in regards to makeup, beauty, hair and clothing that’s on trend we are anticipating, However is it the same to be expected of jewelry trends for this year? Jewelry is really what brings an outfit together so it should be taken into consideration what pieces you should be considering investing in this spring and summer to tie your look together. We always say that the devil is in the details and that really pertains to our jewelry as well. Small items, but they make a huge impact.
One jewelry item we can’t help but notice making a strong statement already are cuffed bracelets. Even as we window shop, or online “window “ shop we can’t help but notice that cuff bracelets are making a wave. Now whether it’s considered a “comeback”, we can’t say for sure. Silver and gold cuffs are great for layering or wearing alone to add a glint and glimmer to your look. Yet, what we’re really enthusiastic about is leather bracelet cuffs. Particularly logo ones that may don the traditional Chanel or Gucci logo but other ones that have silver or gold accents that take your more masculine leather cuff to a more feminine vibe. Whether they are bold, thick, or dainty they certainly enhance any outfit and we’re excited to add some to our collection.
Perhaps we weren’t too off the fashion radar when we mentioned maximalist style making a comeback because it seems the same is in order for jewelry. Particularly earrings. “Make a statement” earrings as we like to call them or “look at me!” earrings. Chandelier style earrings embellished in crystals or even diamonds are not only great for nights or celebrating anniversaries or birthdays but we like to add this to our “high-low” outfits for a bit of unexpected glam. We’re also really into drop earrings, so earrings that have dramatic length with perhaps a pearl, or a teardrop diamond or even a crystal at the end for our spirituality girlies. Earrings are often concealed by hair but with these statement earrings you can’t help but pay attention to the major earlobe glam on display.
Finally, we’re really excited to play with geometrical and avant garde shapes with all of our jewelry items. Jewelry such as rings that don’t seem to be the “perfect” shape and are made of materials such as plastic or even melted and reformed gold or silver. We’re done with the traditional silver and gold bands or rings with a simple emerald or diamond. We’re tapping more into our non-traditional and artistic side with unusual shapes even in the shape of animals or we’ve even seen some retro floppy disc bracelets out there as well. Rings in the shapes of bandaids and feather earrings or even melted down and reformed earrings, bracelets and cuffs are on our radar as top trends for spring. It seems like having fun while making a statement this year is all the rage and we can’t wait to have our go at it. What about you?
