SB, We Are Coming!
It's about that time again to start planning those quaint, weekend getaways. Lucky for you if you’re like us and live in the Golden State, there are endless options for a scenic drive and to be transported to paradise. One of those towns is Santa Barbara. Located about five and a half hours outside of San Francisco, Santa Barbara is an amazing town with great food, beaches, history and people.
Santa Barbara is also known as the "American Riviera.” It’s a beautiful coastal city located in Southern California and with its stunning beaches, Mediterranean-style architecture, and picturesque landscapes, Santa Barbara is a popular tourist destination for visitors from all over the world and not just Californians. Whether you’re interested in outdoor activities, cultural attractions, or just soaking up the sun, Santa Barbara has something to offer for everyone and is generally gorgeous and has pleasant weather no matter the season you choose to plan your visit.
One of the top attractions in Santa Barbara is the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. Built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, this historic building is known for its stunning architecture and panoramic views of the city. Visitors can take a free tour of the courthouse and climb to the top of the clock tower for an unforgettable view of the city and the surrounding hills. Another must-see attraction in Santa Barbara is the Santa Barbara Mission. Founded in 1786, the mission is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city and is known for its beautiful gardens, historic architecture, and fascinating history. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the mission grounds, visit the museum, and attend one of the many events and concerts held throughout the year. We really love that not only does Santa Barbara have amazing views but a really rich historical culture that’s accessible to everyone.
Now the truly fun stuff: shopping. There is a bit of everything for everyone when it comes to shopping in Santa Barbara. There are small boutiques, galleries and of course luxury stores. We recommend starting on State Street where you’ll find a ten-block pedestrian walkway between Sola and Gutierrez Streets. Enjoy shopping at stores like Anthropologie, Gap, and Restoration Hardware and stopping for lunch at restaurants and cafes such as Santo Mezcal and Pascucci Restaurant. It really is a great town if you’re looking to leisurely stroll and find antiques and clothing that none of your friends will have.
But, no visit to Santa Barbara would be complete without spending time at the beach. Santa Barbara boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in California, including East Beach, West Beach, and Butterfly Beach. Whether you’re interested in swimming, surfing, sunbathing, or just taking a relaxing stroll along the shore, the beaches in Santa
Barbara offer something for everyone. Overall, Santa Barbara is a beautiful city that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, making it the perfect destination for your next vacation.
