No Joke ~ We’re Stoked!

The Top

Okay, let’s talk tops. As we already said and as we know, temperatures are going to start dropping, so what’s a good way to layer on that warmth without having the bulkiness that can come from awkward layering? A bodysuit. We love a bodysuit and in this case they serve more as a functional piece than a fashionable one but we’re still going to keep it chic and cute. This Snatched Goals Bodysuit by Naked Wardrobe is long sleeved, ribbed and is basically a second skin that is perfect for layering.

From here we can really have some fun. We like to layer on top of our bodysuit either a crewneck, hoodie or sweater that shows some personality. Since it is autumn, this Boyfriend Plaid Button-Up Shirt from BP is great to layer under a fun sweater like this Saint Laurent Tie Dye Hoodie. The colors are similar but the patterns are different and this adds dimension to your look and accentuates the different layers.

Next you have two options: layer on a jacket and call it a day or push the envelope and add another lighter jacket and a coat on top of that. Let’s explore option number two just for fun. We like the idea of adding a lightweight blazer such as this Open Edit Blazer because the shoulders are relaxed and will be ideal for layering under a heavy wool coat such as this Harris Wharf Long Pressed Wool Wrap Coat.

An added “chic” tip would be to just drape the wool coat fashionably over your shoulders and call it a day. Finally, add a pair of gloves, a scarf or even a beanie as some finishing touches on your layered look and voila - the perfect layered autumn outfit. Until next time!

Sincerely,
Kailyn, your Closet Correspondent
