Must Have Winter Accessories
This season we’re really into hand warmers. Hand warmers are a chic alternative for gloves and come in a plethora of different fabrics, colors and patterns. Plus, they’re great for an added layer of warmth under your sweatshirt or jacket and you can still show off your fabulous manicure as well. Along with showing off your manicure, you can still display your accessories such as rings and bracelets which unfortunately with traditional gloves, you cannot. Lean into Y2K style and keep your hand warmers on after you take off your coat for an edgy (maybe even sexy?) look and don’t worry about unlocking your phone to text either.
Another winter accessory we’re investing in - and in more than one, is a good beanie. Sure, you run the risk of ruining your blowout hairstyle but we’re really into how many styles there are for beanies these days. Cashmere beanies in neutral tones provide an air of sophistication and comfort in the tone of Eileen Fisher or The Row. Slouchy, oversized beanies look effortless and are great to throw on quickly with a sweatpant and cardigan for a run to Whole Foods for winter provisions. Adding a chunky scarf, statement earrings or oversized sunglasses are just a few ideas on how to accessorize and elevate your beanie.
We don’t necessarily recommend going full on Jane Fonda and wearing your hand warmers and leg warmers at the same time, but the choice is yours. Styling leg warmers with a pair of leggings, cropped sweatshirt and long overcoat is our ideal fall/winter outfit. It’s an easy, but put together look that’s great for everyday errands and when paired with a sneaker like the New Balance 550s or the trendy Adidas Samba, you are surely to be mistaken for an off-duty model. What are your essential winter accessories?
