A Week In Outfits
We have to admit, we have had a pretty killer week this week when it came to our looks. Despite all of our insanity running around finding gifts for others (and some for ourselves), we managed to find time to still get dressed and put together some really good outfits. We thought we’d share with you our three favorite fits we wore this week and share where you can get some of our newfound favorite items.
As we mentioned, it has been a hectic week preparing for all of the holiday celebrations but we still had to look chic as we ran from store to store finding all of the best gifts on our wish lists. So, how did we manage to be comfortable but stylish as we navigated the holiday chaos and crowds? First, we turned to our favorite pair of denim from Mother, the High Waisted Rider Skimp Jean has been our tried and true when it comes to jeans. This high waisted relaxed denim is perfect for a day of running errands especially when paired with these comfortable Cole Haan Women’s Grand Crosscourt sneakers in the “goes-with-everything” black leather. It’s a casual shoe, but the leather material ties the whole look together. Finally, we had to make sure to keep warm and we love to wear this Moment Puffer Print Jacket from Perfect Moment to complement our black sneakers.
Even though we are trying our best to keep up with our hectic schedules we still managed to find time for a night out with friends. Hosting a dinner at our place provided the perfect opportunity to dress up a little extra and we have been waiting for the opportunity to wear this Green Silk Satin Bias Dress from Rodarte. We have been so over the whole holiday dressing scheme but this forest green silk dress is a great option if you still want to be in the holiday spirit but not in-your-face about it. The black silk detailing is very victorian but subtly sexy at the same time. A great option for hosting a casual dinner with friends. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget to fill you in on the shoes. We finished our look with these Aquazzura Bow Tie Pumps in black to match our lace detailing in our dress. A simple, but very promising and classic holiday dinner look and one for the books.
Our final favorite look this week just may be our favorite. We had the obligatory gift exchange with some locals from our neighborhood and weren’t quite sure how classy or casual everyone was going to be dressed so we had to walk the line quite cautiously. After much deliberation we decided to wear this Silk Lurex Stripe Dress from Peter Dundas, but dress it down just a bit with these Giuseppe Zanotti Lace Up Biker Boots. We have to give applause for these boots; not your average biker boot, these velvet boots have a chic gold buckle and chain detailing in the front adds a nice feminine touch to a more traditionally masculine shoe. Finally, we are layering this Laga Coat from Altuzarra to finish off our look. Perfect for a casual gift exchange and hot cocoa...right?
