Natasha Kaplan, founder of N.L. Kaplan Associates, has consulted for years with clients in the US and internationally. N.L. Kaplan Associates is particularly designed for the development of fashion and luxury products. Additionally, Ms Kaplan has also created two re-imaging consultancies, Armoire Analyst and Pygmalion. Her clients include numerous private, corporate and diplomatic clients, including the Russian Cultural Center in Washington, DC, AOL-Time Warner, Eastbanc, the Rite Stuff Consulting, senior executives of Freddie Mac, QVC, the home shopping channel, and Paramount Pictures.
As a recognized fashion expert Ms. Kaplan has worked with the world’s leading publications, designers and retailers including Women’s Wear Daily, Fendi, Celine, Patricia Underwood, Guido Pasquali, Fratelli Rossetti and Pellini Bijoux. Ms Kaplan has directed marketing, licensing and promotion activities for clients such as Faraone S.P.A. and Barbara Bolan; she has also served as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Bloomingdale’s and Willi Wear Ltd. From 1970 to 1978, Ms Kaplan was Foreign Correspondent in the Middle East for Bonnier Magazine Group, and held positions as Director of International Marketing for Beged-Or Israel and Dimona Fibers. From 1968 to 1970, she was a correspondent based in Milano for Fairchild Publications (Footwear News, Women’s Wear Daily and W).
Under her direction, Ms Kaplan’s company has conducted international non-profit fundraising for clients such as The Global Center/Global Vision, Very Special Arts and Washington Very Special Arts, the Center for Applied Linguistics, and the International Lung Foundation. Her pro bono consulting includes the Presidents Committee on the Arts and the Humanities and the Ozone Society.
Ms Kaplan is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College with a B.A. in Anthropology, Sociology and Linguistics. She is fluent in English, Italian, Spanish, French and Greek.
