These Pantone Colors Will be Everywhere for Spring/Summer 2020. How Many Do You Have in Your Closet?
The Pantone Color Institute does a huge solid for the fashion industry each year: they publish the Fashion Color Trend Report that forecasts which colors will be popping each season. Well, they've released their 2020 Spring/Summer edition, and we're here to spill the beans.
"...COMBINING OUR DESIRE FOR STABILITY, CREATIVITY, AND MORE SPONTANEOUS DESIGN APPROACHES..."
The 2020 report features a hit list of 12 colors anticipated to be dripping all over the runways in February's installation of New York Fashion Week, where our favorite designers will be presenting their Spring/Summer collections. The Pantone collection is said to convey a sense of ease, and "combines our desire for stability, creativity and more spontaneous design" according to Leatrice Eiseman -- Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. With shades like Biscay Green, Grape Compote and Orange Peel, we totally get this vibe -- we get this feeling of the good ol' faithfuls that we've always depended on, but with a little element of wonder and experimentation.
"THE COLOR PALETTE FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2020 INFUSES HERITAGE AND TRADITION WITH A COLORFUL YOUTHFUL UPDATE THAT CREATES STRONG MULTI-COLORED COMBINATIONS AS WELL AS ENERGIZING AND OPTIMISTIC PAIRINGS."
The report also includes an updated take on 4 classic neutrals: Lark, Navy Blazer, Brilliant White and Ash. These tones are amazing foundations for any wardrobe -- timeless and versatile. These hues can be worn on their own to make a statement, or they can form the foundation for adventurous color pairings.

All in all, we are absolutely loving this SS 2020 color palette because it gives us so many quirky combinations to play with. Our imaginations are running wild. We have our hearts set on Mosaic Blue, Coral Pink and Lark for the more subdued tones. And we are over the moon about Saffron and Flame Scarlet, which are going to look blazing hot this Summer. So we say, start stocking up and planning your pairings! There's a lot to experiment with. And when it comes to accessories, we've gathered up a few with 2020's Pantone colors in mind :-). Enjoy!
