Unexpected Is Good

Lately I’ve been really into pastel shades. I think I’m preparing for spring and incorporating pastels into my daily wardrobe is a way of doing that. The official color of the year is a romantic lilac (or is it lavender) shade that I’m eager to wear this spring. Dressing in a monochrome fashion is also something I’ve been having fun with and this shade of purple is fun to layer. I think the most impactful statements in style are made in the details. A lilac or lavender ring for example, or a silk scarf are some subtle ways that I’ve been introducing into my outfits as of late. I enjoy skimming through magazine pages and looking for inspiration on new trends and trends that are making their way back. Before I know it I have so many great ideas on how to make these trends fit my style. I think it’s a way to stay creative and experimental when it comes to my own personal style. Don’t be afraid to try new things, more importantly look forward to making fashion mistakes because that often leads to something new that no one has tried before.

Strapless Silk & Linen Organza Gown

Don’t be afraid of the “flop.” The flop often leads to the “fab” and that’s just, well, fabulous.”

This strapless gown in textured silk-and-linen organza has clean design lines that put the emphasis on the floaty gathered skirt dyed in faded sunrise colors.
