Trend Alert: Mob Wife Style

New trend alert! It’s only February but we already have a new trend on the rise. We’re taking a harsh turn away from the soft coquette and ballet styles and now we’re embracing “mob wife style.” So, the name already gives us an idea of what to expect, but what exactly does mob wife style look like? Well, think about Carmela Soprano, wife of Tony Soprano from none other, The Sopranos. And if you’ve ever seen movies like The Godfather, Goodfellas or Scarface then you’ve been a witness firsthand of the mob wife look. This trend is the epitome of bold glamor and flashy makeup and accessories. Think of gold hoop earrings, statement necklaces and bracelets and long acrylic nails. As we pivot from quiet luxury to this bold new trend, what else can we expect from mob wife style?
A good place to start is with fabulous fur. Sure spring is right around the corner, but we’re still in the middle of the rainy season, so it’s still appropriate to rock a solid fabulous faux fur. So, as we abandon the days of soft glam like the coquette, ballet and Barbie cores of last year, we approach a new front of maximalism.
