Spring Cleaning Time
Just when we thought we had our winter wardrobe perfected, we have to start thinking about our spring wardrobe. We like to think of ourselves as “trend trackers,” meaning we are always one season ahead of the game when it comes to the next hot item in fashion. Shopping for our anticipated spring wardrobe is no different so let’s just say we’re getting a head start on curating pieces for amazing spring looks. Rompers are in...
We’ve been seeing a lot of jumpsuits and rompers on the rise and despite it being winter, we're thinking that these pieces are going to be everywhere this spring so when we saw this Springy Short Button Front Utility Romper from Mother we knew we had to add it to our cart. This bright yellow romper is utility style but it’s also cinched at the waist to accentuate any body type and we kinda love how bright and festive feeling this romper is and we’re looking forward to styling it this spring? Maybe we could wear this with some white trainers to the family Easter egg hunt? Or perhaps this is the perfect piece for an afternoon picnic and some gladiator style sandals? Choices, choices, choices...
Platforms are out...
Last spring we saw a lot of platform sandals or chunky style sandals that spoke more to fashion than to function. We are fans of both, but this spring we think that flip flops are going to make a big comeback, but we’re not talking about your locker room shower shoes type of flip flops but something a bit more stylish. Something like this pair of Valentino Garavani Rockstud Printed Footbed Thong Sandals which are double-strapped and double-embellished with ornate gold cubes are what we had in mind. We also like these more casually inclined Leather Thong Sandals by Ancient Greek Sandals which are in fact made in Greece and have a comfortable molded footbed and sleek leather style. These are great for the classic minimalist and they also go with literally any look and are a great foundation sandal for spring.
And minimalism (and minis) is key...
When it comes to our handbags and purses for spring, we’re taking a minimal approach. In our books, this spring less is more and that means we’re shopping clutches, wallets and wristlets. Wristlets like this YSL Large Quilted Zip Wristlet is what we have in mind.
