Should I Stay or Should I Go?

Last week we checked in with Bunny and Kailyn and we asked a lot of what if questions. This week we’re a bit more literal (and opinionated) as we check in to see what trends should stay this fashion season and which ones should go. Let’s see what our editor and writer had to say...

Keep It or Leave It: Geometric Patterns

Bunny: Hmmm I’m torn. It could stay or go and I don’t think I would even notice. I think that geometric shapes and patterns can be fun but most of the time it can become too busy and it just gives me a headache...what do you think?

Kailyn: I say keep. But that’s only because I love the 60s and that whole era of fashion and the geometric shapes are so crucial and telling of that era so I have a soft spot but I do agree that it can go way overboard and doesn’t work with poor styling.

Bunny: Also, it can really clash on a red carpet you know? But then it could really work as a street style look or at a party. It’s kind of a toss-up that depends on the setting as well as the shapes and colors you choose.

VERDICT: Split

Oversize Trousers

Kailyn: Keep, keep, keep! I love this trend that’s popping up this winter. It’s such a fun silhouette to play with.

Bunny: I totally agree. And I love that anyone can wear them. I really love Harry Styles’ fashion sense and he totally rocks the wide leg pant trend so well. They’re so fun to wear with sneakers, heels or boots. Totally keeping this one.

Kailyn: I love that it’s a gender neutral style, totally. Again, it’s also reminiscent of a previous era and I’m a sucker for nostalgia.

VERDICT: Keep

Crop Tops

Bunny: Has to go. I’m sorry, but just, no. I never understood the crop top idea, and I just don’t like crop tops. Maybe in the summer or at the beach I can understand but it just seems to have become a trend that serves no purpose to me. Is that harsh? Uh-oh, Kailyn do you wear crop tops? Haha.

Kailyn: When I was younger I did and to be honest I am not really a fan of them but I do see Hailey Beiber, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid style a crop top and I think, wow I really like how they wore that. It really just depends on the person who’s wearing it and how they wore it. I'm going to say “keep” for this one.

Bunny: Okay I suppose that’s fair enough. I just don’t really get the function? I guess style is the function. Oh, well looks like we’re 50/50 on this one.

VERDICT: Split
