Self Care Without The Guilt

One thing that I’ve been thinking a lot about is the whole “self-care” thing. I am such a supporter of self-care, don’t get me wrong but what I’ve been asking myself a lot lately is this: is it self-care if I feel guilty about it? What I mean is, and this goes especially for women, that even while we’re supposed to be relaxing and not worried about work, family, etc. we are still preoccupied with all of those things. My point is, it’s not really self-care if we are stressed and feeling guilty or feeling as if, I should be doing this or that is it? I would like for myself and for others as well to indulge in the deliciousness that is true self-care. Self-care that is free of stress and worry and instead focused on the fleeting present moment is the most fulfilling self-care we can do.
