Second New Year
I love that moment in winter when you can sense a new leaf is about to turn. It’s that warm breeze on a cool morning and the way that the afternoon seems to stretch a little later into the day. I suppose it’s just the seasons changing but I like to imagine that I’m the only one in on this little secret. The anticipation that leads up to this peculiar time between winter and spring may be even more exciting than spring itself. I can feel the warmth in the air and the sun shining a little brighter and although we’ve already celebrated New Years, this feels like my own personal New Year’s Part Two. After all, spring is when flowers bloom and animals come out of hibernation, so, why not?
