Her mantra is “own your crazy” and she leads by example: Sam is 100% real with zero fucks to give and zero apologies. Our kinda vibes. We could all take notes.

Kind, Brave, Irreverent.

“…Be yourself, be brave enough to live your truth- it’s what makes you, you… and you are fucking beautiful.”

Tell us a bit about the work you do and why you chose that field.
I create branded content that’s real, raw, and radical. Through the lens of comedy, I’m able to smash toxic social norms and create inclusive messaging that shifts the antiquated paradigm of advertising from “you’re ugly” or “not enough” to be yourself, be brave enough to live your truth- it’s what makes you, you… and you are fucking beautiful. I want to show the world that perfection’s an illusion –it doesn’t exist, so let’s just celebrate our imperfections.

Have you discovered anything amusing about yourself during this new time?
Yes, if I let my toenails grow, I could climb a tree barefoot. 

What has been your most humbling experience professionally?
When I first began working for Comedy Central I started working with comedy writer, Myka Fox. When I read her shit, I was like….OHHHHHH. I need to step up my game. This woman is fire. I’ve got more work to do.

Happiness is subjective, but for me it’s feeling loved and accepted for being myself. That and Gucci shoes.

What is your biggest pet peeve?
I’m weird with mouth sounds. When someone is chewing (especially with their mouth open) I want to rip their eyes out. Even when I watch porn, I have to skip over the blow job parts – the struggle is real.

Describe your go-to style.
I’m a Maximalist. The easiest way to describe my style is Geriatric Chic.

You feel most beautiful when …?
I’m having fun not giving a fuck about what I look like- which is crazy, because that’s when I feel the most attractive.

What scares you most?
Doctors. Dentists. Diseases. And Getting fatter.

Stranded on an island … what items do you want next to you?
Me stranded on an island? Alone? Either a cell phone with a signal to call someone to get me the fuck out of there or a bottle of sleeping pills so I could put myself out of my misery.       

First thing you notice about a person?
Their energy. Then, their shoes.

Best thing that happened to you last week?
I had Jennifer Esposito, one of my favorite actors, on my IG Live #AloneTogether show. It was amazing. She is amazing – a true supporter of women helping other women.  

Current obsession?
My terrace. It looks like a scene in a John Water’s film. I decorated it with tons of plastic flowers… because I can’t keep anything alive.

What does fashion mean to you?
Fashion and style are so much a part of my personal brand. Clothes, shoes and accessories add to my persona. I usually wear vintage, so it’s like each piece comes with its own story that’s now become part of mine.
