We’ve already talked about how floral dresses for spring have made a surprising comeback as a spring staple although they seem the obvious and predictable choice. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t other dresses trending for spring or summer.
Possibly one of the most flattering and versatile styles of dress, the ruched dress is known for its gathered fabric detailing and has also been styled as shirts and skirts as well. One way we’re styling our ruched dress is with our trending shoe of the summer, yes you know the one, espadrille wedges and while we’re at it we’re adding a floppy wide brimmed hat and accessorizing with western inspired turquoise stone jewelry for a day of watching the waves and sipping our favorite white wine.
For a city stroll, we’re going a bit more glam and swapping our espadrilles for pumps and our wide brim hat for wide-eyed sunnies. Yet, don’t forget a cardigan or lightweight denim jacket for those brisk spring nights that still surprise us.
