This season, the fashion world is giving a whole new meaning to less is more. If you've ever repeated the words "girls just wanna have fun," and have a penchant for the frilly and skimpy, this could be your time to shine. Lingerie is being liberated from the bedrooms and will be seen on full blast in the hot summer months, flitting into boardrooms and prancing down the streets in both subtle and bold fashion. And this trend is going way beyond the slips and bustiers to which we've become accustomed. We're talking about garters, corsetry, sheer paneling, silk and lace everything ... the works. These elements are being masterfully woven into all sorts of ensembles with seductive appeal. And we’re not complaining. It’s delicate, but it’s also riské. It adds a little intrigue, but also a little hint of mischief. Whether you want to bare it all, or are more conservative, there is something for everyone.

Our favorite looks mix casual with formal and use different textures to add a little drama. But there is really a look for all occasions. As many of us head back to the office over the next few weeks, try incorporating lace or corset-like elements under a blazer. For our Summer sizzlers, pair a bra top with denim, or for a more dolled up look — a long lace skirt. If you like the idea of slipping into something more comfortable, you are in luck, because there are tons of dresses that are slinky and slip-like that are so easy to throw on. But of all the ways we have to frolic in the sun this summer, we think the garter steals the show. Garter aesthetics are showing up as little embellishments on tanks, or in full form.
