Working from home has been a new normal for many. And as a big fan of WFH , let me tell you — this can be a beautiful thing. But you have to be prepared; preparation is key in determining whether you’ll be bouncing off the walls and getting mad at the wall paper, or totally falling in love with this new experience.
Since you’ll no longer need to be sifting through outfits and putting on makeup to go into office, you can now put your stylistic energy into creating a WFH space that is not only conducive to work, but also inspiring. I learnt this lesson a few years ago from a mentor who happened to be one of Michael Jackson’s right-hand musical collaborators, and is just an overall remarkable human. He taught me three key ingredients for a successful WFH space:
Your WFH space should have all the items needed to get the job done organized and easily accessible. Not having these items organized and available can be a huge damper for productivity.
As much as possible, this space should be separate from your other spaces so that you’re better able to make that mental transition from home to work.
It should have a creative element that has nothing to do with work, but that brings you joy: a painting, a plant, a book etc.
Today’s fashion story is thus a bit different: we are on a mission to totally dec out your WFH space so that we can all make the best of this new normal. Make sure you drop us a line and let us know what your WFH space looks like and what items you absolutely can’t live without. Then answer our question of the day below! Enjoy, my friends :-).
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What best describes your WFH style?
(A) Sweats are my new BFF,
(B) PJs all the way baby, or
(C) I stay stylish … always.
A diffuser with an invigorating or soothing scent is a must-have. This is life-changing.
