Father’s Day Gift Guide
It can be easy to resort to the traditional gift giving ideas for dad when Father’s Day rolls around. This year instead of hitting the golf store or your local hardware shop why not treat dad to something he wouldn’t normally buy for himself? If your father, father-in-law, or father-figure in your life is still using a paperclip for a wallet or wears that tired old flannel for every special event because it’s the “nicest” thing he owns, then we have some gift ideas you may want to consider for that special guy in your life.
Dad’s don’t usually shop for themselves and when they do, it’s not usually for clothing and it’s even less likely they shop for accessories. This holiday try gifting them something that reflects their personal style but also elevates it. Consider his favorite colors or the pieces that he already seems to like. If he’s a t-shirt guy try purchasing high quality shirts in good fabrics and soft textures. If he really likes to wear his favorite sneakers but they’re old and tired, try to invest in a good pair that he can wear for leisure or on a special outing. We find when it comes to dad, versatility is key and most effective.
The same general rule is good to follow when it comes to accessories. If your dad carries a backpack to work or a briefcase try to find something that’s functional but also fashionable that can add to his work look. A leather shoulder bag or backpack and a matching wallet would be an added upgrade to his work fit. Another good addition would be a nice belt in the basic colors of black or brown leather that will pair well with anything he owns. The thing about holidays and gift giving, is that you want to give them something they would like but may not particularly purchase for themselves. Let’s be honest, shopping for dad is easier than shopping for mom, so keep it simple and you’ve got this holiday covered.
