Fashion Week Trends Spotted
If you want a trend forecast or are an avid style tracker, look no further than the Fashion Weeks of the world to get an exclusive tip-off as to what everyone will be into this next season. We did some research and have a few trends we think are going to blow up in a big way and we saw them all at this year’s Fashion Week.
Paris Fashion Week is always the big one to watch as it’s literally the fashion capital of the world. This last PFW we noticed lots of big colors like electric blue, hot pink and that Valentino Pink that’s still blazin’ strong. Of course brands like Balenciaga kept it more neutral with lots of dark blacks and grays but let us know that oversized silhouettes are here to stay. Dior and Chanel remain true to their love of sheer feminine fabrics but the new Mary Janes from Chanel are mesh and embellished and we think that’s going to be big for shoes everywhere this year.
London Fashion week wasn’t too far off and we were excited to see designers having fun with color as well as geometric shapes, patterns and textures. A-line and bias cut silhouettes in gowns were seen everywhere as well as balloon sleeves and voluminous pants and skirts. In true London fashion everything has to not only be stylish and chic but more importantly? Practical. Therefore we saw the return of “wearable fashion” on the runway and we’re excited to get dressed in the morning again!
Finally, the trend we saw all across Fashion Week was sustainability. From Paris to London and even New York designers like Stella McCartney and Christopher Raeburn continue to pioneer the sustainability movement while maintaining classic tailoring and even trendier designs that the fashion industry seems swift to follow. Which Fashion Week was your favorite?
