Deeper Than Water

Somehow fountains represent all that I long for. I’ve been thinking about when I was young and I would pass by a fountain and I was so fascinated with its consistency. Where does the water come from? I would ask as I watched the water flow from the mouths of angels so generously. Then of course I would beg for a penny and make a wish and cast my coin, my dream, into the bottom of the fountain. It’s a memory that shows how I trusted the universe with my wishes, and how I enjoyed these simple pleasures of tossing a penny into water and thinking all day about when and how my dream would come to fruition. What do you wish for?

FOUNDER’S KEEPERS

DID YOU KNOW?

“That the earliest mention of a pen that has an ink reservoir is from year 973. Ma'ād al-Mu'izz, the caliph of the Maghreb, region of Northwest Africa, asked for a pen that would keep his hand clean while he uses it and would not leave as much mess as standard pens and quills.. His wish was fulfilled with a pen that held ink inside and could be held upside-down without spilling but we don’t know precisely how this pen worked or how it looked like. “
