Strong And Fit Lifestyles

Eating clean seems to be on everyone’s list, especially since we’ve been spending more time indoors. We’ve had to find ways to stay healthy and motivated on our journey to strong and fit lifestyles. Check out some tips we use in our daily diets for things such as weight loss, digestion and energy.

Kailyn:

Something I’ve really gotten into this last year is trying to eat better and more meaningful. It can be tough to start new habits but once you have the mindset of, “one day at a time” or “one meal at a time it gets easier. So, with that being said, my Vitamix blender helped me get started. It’s so easy to make smoothies, and even meals using this heaven sent piece of machinery!

Bunny:

Oh yes definitely! Throwing five or six ingredients in the blender makes meal prep and smoothie making so easy, not to mention the much needed cocktail here and there.

Kailyn:

I’ve had my fair share of blended margaritas in minutes just using the blender. I also love this detox smoothie I make every morning. It's 1/2 cucumber, 1 liter of water, 2 cups of pineapple, 1 tbsp. of cayenne pepper, ginger and lemon juice. It awakens my digestive system, speeds up metabolism and helps get rid of water weight. It’s kind of like a virgin, spicy margarita and has a good tropical taste to it too.

Bunny:

I love simple recipes like that where you just need a few ingredients to make something that’s so good for you. One thing that I’ve been doing for years now is the classic apple cider vinegar and water every morning. I like ingredients that have “double functions,” they’re good for multiple things.

Kailyn:

Ahh! Thanks for reminding me, I need to get back into doing ACV every morning. I used to mix it with water too and liked it because it helps balance PH levels and weight loss too...among a bunch of other things I don’t remember, haha! I’ve also been into drinking more tea in the evening and adding in my sea moss.

Bunny:

Yeah, you’ve told me about sea moss before and we’ve even talked about it on the site.

Kailyn:

Ha! I know I’m kind of obsessed with it...but it's great and you can add it to so many things but I add 2 tbsp. to my tea or smoothies and it helps with weight loss, regularity, cancer prevention, healthy nails and skin and like a dozen other things. It’s another one of those things that serves more than one function.

Bunny:

The great thing about today’s culture is that there are so many ways to do “healthy” you just have to find the way that works for you.

Kailyn:

For sure, it can be daunting because there’s so many options but at the same time easy to try new things. But on that note, I think we should make some of those cocktails you mentioned earlier…

Bunny:

Ha! Shaken or stirred?

Tune in next week for more Coffee Tock with Bunny and Kailyn.

Happy blending!
