A New Chapter

Can you feel it? That feeling is hope. After what seemed like an eternity, which was actually just the longest year in our lives thus far, seems to be coming to an end. And you know what they say about endings, they’re actually just beginnings. Week by week more and more restaurants, stores and other venues are opening their doors for business to the public and we are truly grateful as well as elated. We can get back to participating in the usual activities we were doing over a year ago and even doing them with the people we love; friends and family we hadn’t seen for months are now by our sides again. Masks of course, but we’ll take that just to be able to feel normal once again. So let’s catch up with Bunny and Kailyn to see some of the things they’ve been doing since this new found freedom has returned. Today, let’s start with Chadwicks picks.

Thrifting

Who: Myself and my best friend, Dylan.

When: End of March

Where: My two favorite thrift stores are in SF. One is called Wastelands and the other is Indigo Vintage. Both were closed up until recently and when I drove by around the end of March they were open and I had to pull over and see what they had. I was so happy.

Dining Out

Who: Myself and my mother.

What: A late lunch.

When: April

Where: Skates restaurant in Berkeley. We had a nice lunch dining indoors (socially distanced of course) right on the water with a view of San Francisco.

Getting Active

Who: Myself

What: Pilates and the gym.

Where: Pilates at ShapeShifters with Tara and City Sports Gym

When: I take Pilates twice a week and I go to the gym everyday except for Sundays.

Why: I tried to do the at-home workout over quarantine and it was so hard to stay disciplined so I’m so happy that I can be back at the gym and doing Pilates!

Museum Days

Who: Me and one of my best girlfriends, Emma

What: The Picasso-Calder Exhibit

Where: De Young Museum in San Francisco

When: Beginning of April

Why: Me and Emma would always go to every new exhibit at the De Young or the Legion of Honor so it was really a landmark occasion to go see the Picasso exhibit after all this time. We were so tickled by it.

Nails and Toes

Who: Me, myself and I

What: Mani and pedi :)

Where: Blossom Nail Salon and Spa

When: March

Why: I used to regularly get my nails done about every two weeks or so. To be back in the salon and smell all of those *great* scents was such a treat. I missed my regular, go-to nail techs.
