10 Questions You Should Ask Yourself Before Buying Shoes
Ahhh shoes. One of my greatest joys and vices, but you know what they say? You can never have too many pairs of shoes. Has anyone ever really challenged this? However, I don’t buy just any pair of shoes, there is a screening process involved. This process enlists ten questions I ask myself before I purchase a new pair to join the others in my closet. They are as follows...
1. Do I already own the same pair I’m about to purchase?
(Trust me, it’s happened before.)
2. Are they the correct size?
Obvious, but still I must ask.
3. Are they comfortable?
Wearing shoes simply for a fashion statement is so...not fashionable.
4. Am I getting the most value for my money?
Is this a good investment? If you answered ‘yes’, proceed.
5. How wearable are they?
Are these shoes for a ‘look’ or can I wear them with multiple outfits?
6. Do I really need a new pair of shoes?
Do you? Really?
7. Do they look good on me?
Sometimes they look great on the model and great in the box but not great on...you. Sorry, but it’s true.
8. Do I like the shoes or the brand?
Sometimes it’s the luxury name that holds the power and not the shoe itself. Think critically here...
9. Will they remain in style?
Better to choose shoes that will be in style a couple years from the purchase date.
10. Do they give support?
And I don’t mean emotional support but do they support your foot and frame properly. Crucial final question.
